Marc was from my hometown. It was a really special event when he came home and visited his mom at school (she was one of the elementary school librarians). Once he brought Keith Hernandez to visit and another time it was Tom Seaver. He’s why I wanted to be a catcher. In fact, a really cool experience for a kid playing Khoury League baseball and catching was when he umpired behind the plate. RIP Marc and Godspeed.

A baseball lifer, the Missouri native debuted with the Cardinals before going onto a long career as a backup backstop with the Giants and White Sox.

Lots of people ask, “Why do I need to take a CCW course, if Louisiana is a Constitutional Carry state?”. It is so important to know the legality of where and how to carry according to both situations. The “cans” and “can’t”s for each are critical to understand.

At Aegis Fi****ms, we stress the importance of continued training and practice. The LA CCW class provides the absolute basics of what you need to safely carry a firearm. We also highly recommend our Louisiana Constitutional Carry, Basic Handgun, and Defensive Pistol courses.

While you may not need a permit to conceal carry in Louisiana anymore, gun instructors believe the classes are still necessary.

I had a GREAT day of Defensive Pistol Shooting with my friend Dave Groce from P&D Walker Gun Store in Walker, LA.

Dave is a great trainer and does an awesome job of coaching you through improvement opportunities (I kept him busy! 😃). If you’re looking for fi****ms training, from one instructor to another, I highly recommend him.🤘🏼

A long long time ago I participated in this same family day jump. We also jumped MH-47s that day. It was the only time any of my family was able to see me jump.

My dad just happened to have the camcorder and caught me exiting the aircraft as the last jumper in the stick. Watched me all the way down, to chute turn in, and then over to the family. Very cool!
