Again these are all powder ladders at 100 yards.

10 shots for each group, covering 4.5gr of powder, each shot .5gr higher than the last, covering around 200fps spread.

Each bullet shot with 2 different powders on this particular test.

I’ve never ran more than 4 combos out of any of my rifles so this is very interesting. So many of these are shooting so well that I’m not sure what combo I’d pick. The rifle is extremely heavy and running on a phoenix bipod and Edgewood rear bag so it’s more stable than most setups I’ve tested in the past.

This rifle setup is either better than others I’ve done in the past or this barrel was a hummer. Regardless this rifle is shooting extremely well.

7 MAX from Sherman Wildcat Cartridges cartridge guide update.

Finished the seating depth testing and just started into the powder ladders and man is it off to a good start!

2 of the 3 ladders looking like a very respectable 10 shot group even though each shot in .5gr higher than the last and covering 200 fps gain.

We are wearing out an entire barrel for each one of the most popular cartridges we chamber to give our customers the best load notes we can on where a rifle typically shoots well, where it hits pressure with each combination, what bullets shoot the best etc.

This data will all be compiled for cartridge comparison when trying to choose between cartridges for your build and also put into a packet to be delivered to each customer in the future to help them with load development on their rifle. This data will be extremely relevant because it is data gathered on the exact Reamer that their barrel is chambered with. The data will also be available to any customer we have previously built a rifle for.

The bullet seating press has changed reloading by providing seating force feedback.

Changes in our load process that yield consistent results is what it’s all about.

One of the things that I love about Long Range Shooting is there are so many rabbit holes to go down and so much to learn! When you have consistent ways of getting repeatable measurements to see how something is improving based on different methods that is when things get fun.

Over the years many have believed in me and many have not. Regardless I’m not in competition with any other person. Life is a race against self. Constant improvement is what it’s all about.

7 Mega all finished up and starting to test fire.

We’ve got a 5 shot group with 190 A-Tips and then 4 different powder ladders with 190 A-tips. Each powder ladders is 10 shots with one shot every .5gr covering 4.5gr and around 200fps spread.

We’re going to start load dev with the N568 combo.

That’s a forgiving rifle right there! Elk are going to be in trouble this fall.

A3a stock perfection.

Five stocks. Same process. Same standards.

Every stock that leaves our shop is inlet in-house before bedding begins. We control inlet alignment, bedding geometry, and pillar height rather than accepting whatever comes out of the mold.

The goal isn’t to build one great rifle.

The goal is to build the hundredth rifle to the same standard as the first.

Consistency is not an accident. It’s a process.

Makes me wonder what it would have shot like with the screws right because this definitely isn’t bad. Regardless we’re on a strict schedule for barrel life and we will choose the best seating depth for each and press on with the powder ladders next.

Round and round we go doing the same things all the time but each month they get better than the last.

I’m grateful God allowed me to wake up and give it another shot at learning to become more than I was yesterday. God is good!
