Do you remember the first time you played Mortal Kombat?

I remember it perfectly. Back in 1992, arcades were the place to be in Aladdin's Castle in Del Rio & While attending college in Florida, I spent countless hours visiting arcades inside shopping malls, and the first time I saw Mortal Kombat, the experience was absolutely mind-blowing. The characters, the digitized graphics, the sound effects, and those unforgettable finishing moves created memories that have lasted a lifetime.

Today, looking at this incredible mural brings all of those memories rushing back. From the original arcade cabinets to the newest games, Mortal Kombat has become more than just a video game—it has become a legacy that has connected generations of fans around the world.
Whether you grew up saying "Finish Him!" in the arcades, played on consoles with friends, or have never experienced Mortal Kombat before, this mural celebrates the history, nostalgia, and passion of the gaming community.

Thank you to artist Shiloh Bowers for helping bring this vision to life and adding something truly special to Historic Downtown Del Rio.

Something incredible is taking shape at Haven's Toys & Collectibles in historic downtown Del Rio!
The outlines are officially underway for our brand-new Mortal Kombat-inspired mural, and talented young artist Shiloh Bowers is bringing this vision to life one line at a time. First comes the sketch work… then the colors and details will transform the front of the shop into an amazing tribute to the gaming community!
We've already seen Shiloh's creativity shine with her beautiful Pokémon mural work at Draculina, and now she's adding another exciting piece to Del Rio's growing art scene.
