The website is fixed (again) and all orders have been shipped, check your emails for tracking.

Unbeknownst to me the website was down for a couple weeks maybe more, seems to be all fixed and in working order now however.

mothers day is this upcoming weekend, use promo code MOM to take 25% off your entire order!

Two Tube Tremolo

Unverified and based off The Tone Gods work. If I have time this weekend I may attempt building it, several other priorities though.

It’s an odd way to connect tubes to a stripboard circuit but I use sockets and wires to accomplish a really tidy look. There are examples of my method if you scroll back far enough to previous projects.

I removed the tone section and opted for single capacitor, no reason you couldn’t add a tone control or full tone stack.

Anyways I can’t find any audio or video of this circuit anywhere, so if you do build it you’ll have to let the rest of us know.

Happy building.

check it out!!!

I’ve got a new website up and going. It’s unfortunate but I couldn’t get my old domain name back, so it’s on to new and better things.

it’s a brand new site and I’m sure there’s some bugs, glitches, mistakes and typos. my apologies if anything is out of sorts.

I haven’t delved super deep@into the shipping side of it all yet so if any thing seems off in that department please reach out to me and I’ll work on fixing it all this weekend.

I think for now all it’ll accept is PayPal and again I’ll try to fix that to add more options over the coming days.

I just wanted to get something out there for all the people who have been asking.

Here’s a neat one, something besides another Valvecaster.

Attached are the schematic and accompanying article from Poptronics magazine of July 2002.

I have built it and it does work, it’s more untamed than a Valvecaster circuit so be prepared. It’s just asking to be modded further.

The 6F5 is a pretty cool tube, it’ll require an “anode cap” to properly connect it to the circuit.

Happy building!

Long time no see……

Firstly the website is gone so don’t even bother trying to look for stuff there, huge bummer but we are brainstorming ideas to get something up and going again. Open to suggestions on that subject.

Secondly there’s a slew of unreleased pcbs and stripboard layouts I created before my “leave of absence” and we will be slowly rolling those out in some fashion, as well as the rest of the older stuff that’s left.

Thirdly I apologize for lack of clarity and updates etc., without writing a novel my wife and I have a little boy with special needs that has required some extra attention the last few months. Gotta put family first.

Anyways pictured above is one of the projects I started before the hiatus, the Wunderwood Amp. It’s a hybrid tube and solid state amplifier powered by 18VDC. Full tone stack, pushes an 8ohm speaker, and an effects loop! It’s also possible to bypass the power amp stage and just use the tube pre amp as a stand alone pedal(gain stage) running into any other amp or pedal in the signal chain. It’s verified and I ordered a bunch of boards but we’ve no way of selling them currently.

Bigger is better, right?

10mm LED matrix boards are huge, 5in by 5in!

The 5mm boards will fit in most of the common enclosure sizes, but these big boys will definitely need some creativity to house them.

Hope to update the website soon with all the new boards and projects once they’re all finalized.

Happy Thanksgiving

It’s that time again!!!

Tube kits are back and better, this year we’ve got two choices and they both come with all the parts and pieces needed to complete the pcb!

The same classic clean boost that we offered last year that utilizes the 6418 vacuum tube, and we’ve also added the “Different Vibe” harmonic tremolo which uses the 5678 vacuum tube.

Each kit comes with all the necessary components (potentiometers, capacitors, resistors, diodes, etc. and of course the NOS Raytheon vacuum tube) you’ll need to build a fully functional PCB. All you’ll need to provide is the solder and wire to connect to whatever enclosure you so choose.

Both designs are very beginner friendly and come with clear written instructions, and of course I’m hear to help answer any questions as well.

Tube Boost Kit is $29.99usd plus shipping(tracked and insured).

Different Vibe is $34.99usd plus shipping(tracked and insured).

DM if you’re interested, stash of NOS tubes is dwindling so don’t wait!

If you haven’t used these tubes before this is a very fun, safe and rewarding way to introduce yourself to the world of subminiature vacuum tubes.

I recommend purchasing a soft switch bypass board as well, either ours or someone else’s, these tubes are microphonic and will produce a ringing “ping” if jostled too much. I can provide parts and instructions for our board if that’s the route you’d like to go.

Foreign friends obviously shipping will be more but I’m happy to work it out however we can if you’re seriously interested.

I’ve got candy and stickers/pins while supplies last too.

Anyways that was a lot, hope you guys like it and pick some kits up for the holidays.

Happy building.

ReVolt - a dead/dying battery simulator with LEDs to visualize voltages.

Approximately 9.9v to 4.5v

Verified, this was my prototype layout for what eventually became a PCB.

If you want a pcb just message me or visit the website(they’re really cool and look like little 9v batteries)!

Happy building.

Without knowing anything about this pedal, what would you call it?

It needs a name.

EarthQuaker Devices and JPTR FX already have famous pedals of their own that uses the same “imagery” in one aspect or another, trying not to name it something too close to theirs.

Help me! I’ve got a handful of ideas but I really want something that knocks it out of the park.

does this come across how I think/hoping it looks?

I have two of these huge enclosures and I think I finally figured out what to do with at least one of them.

I dunno how I would paint the enclosure itself, fade from a blue to grey sky? Plain white?

what do I call it?

My finished prototype of the lofi oscilloscope

Went with a classic Nintendo color scheme and ultimately opted for a no texture/no splatter enclosure which is pretty rare for me

juggling several projects at the moment but hope to update the website with more projects soon
