Still looking for a few strong people to help move a large desk at the Browsing Bison so we can start getting this place ready to open back up. Maybe an evening this week?? The Browsing Bison has been sleeping for long enough. It's time to start waking it up, but it's going to take time, work and some willing volunteers to get it up and going again. The first thing I need are some strong volunteers with some tools to help move some heavy furniture around, maybe take some things apart or put some together and haul some things to the dump.

Fellow indie bookstore owner Mara killing it with this collaboration in Missoula, home of “Maid” author, Stephanie Land!

Fact & Fiction, a well-loved downtown Missoula bookstore, wrote a check earlier this week for just over $3,500 to Mountain Home Montana.

Hi, community partners!

One week ago, we held our first annual Trick-or-Treat Main Street event. We hate to sound like a broken record, but we could not be happier with how it turned out and again, we want to thank everyone who came out and all the businesses and groups that participated. It was an AMAZING time!

Now that the dust has settled a bit, we have two requests:

1) If you have photos from Trick-or-Treat Main Street, would you be willing to share them with us? We would love to use them as images in advertising this event in the future and illustrating what kinds of things we are doing in the community when we are applying for grants, etc.

2) If you have any feedback about the event, we want to hear it! Please remember that we are all caring community members and that Discover Deer Lodge is a group of volunteers doing our best. With that, please be civil and kind, even if you have negative things to say. Let's keep all feedback coming in a constructive, community-minded way.
