Forget-me-knots Braided Bowls

Two of my art pieces will be in the new show “What does GREEN mean to you?” at Custom Art Framing & Gallery 9. Opening reception this Friday, March 6, 6 to 8pm. Come see Strawberry Whimsy and Strawberry Nest and work by local artists.

My braided vessels embody the idea that we are all woven together, we are all connected. Using garments and other textiles, I braid and hand sew to create unique shapes and sizes reflecting our own individuality.

The theme of green, to me, invokes summer, abundance, and strawberries! The materials used came from an unwanted green sweater destined to a landfill from a home that was to be demolished.
