Tomorrow starts the N.E.A.C.A. Spring show at the VBC in Huntsville! Hours are 9-6 Friday and Saturday, 12-5 on Sunday.

I may be frazzled by door opening time… as you’d think after 21 years of doing shows— I’d be rather adept at booth set up and not forget too much. Au contraire! I’ve forgotten my change, my iPad, signs… the risers for my tables and a certain tablecloth or two. But today… I forgot an entire main table! So. Emily and I will be there bright and early to fix that!

Thankful for my sister Penny who helped me get set up quickly!

The show is in the south hall— so it’s to the left — and our booths, while still at a door— may be the last booths you come to!

The show is free admission, altho the VBC charges $15 (card only) for parking. Vendors inside take cash and cars. City parking is $5 and a short walk—- and you’d be able to hit Panoply too!

My favorite customer today! Or this whole year! Meet Olivia, the daughter of one of the vendors (I believe she said Southern Valley Soap?) and THE most mannerly, polite young ladies I’ve met! She looked through the trinket bin… told us about how she was sometimes thought weird by her friends because she loved broccoli AND cauliflower… we even shared a recipe for fried broccoli which she deemed delicious. 🙂. Her watch alarm went off- and she had to check in with her mom— a wonderful way to let someone browse AND feel safe at the same time. She said excuse me— and said she’d be back. Michele and I were talking when she announced that she was back! So we talked a little more about our favorite things! She was just a delight.

So. She looked around a bit, and was intrigued by the Blind Bags.. and I told her she could have a couple. I asked if she minded if I videoed her while opening them— but that I would NOt publish anything without her mother’s permission— and gave her my card while she went and asked. She did, so we did. She even shook my hand when we were finished!

Hopefully she will come back and visit a bit tomorrow too. She is a remarkable little girl!

Wow! We’ve had a wonderful Vintage Market Days of North Alabama so far in Decatur Alabama at Point Mallard Park!

Michele and I did a fair amount of restocking today— she sewed pillows and table runners last night and sold all but one today! I cleared out some vintage Tupperware- and sold about half of it! Still more to be had!

Come check out all the wonderful vendors! It’s been a record setting crowd out there so far! Come see why!

Michele and I are excited to be a part of VMD here in Decatur— we have been a part of this since it relocated to Decatur! This year- it’s out at Point Mallard park in the pickleball facility— which has been transformed into a wonderful venue while protecting the floor for those who come back to play next week!

We are just left:right to the center (depending on how you come in!), about midway!

Gate ticket is $12, and if you take a selfie at their stations- you can show it at the gate and come back as often as you wish for free!

10-4 Friday and Saturday. 11-3 on Sunday!

Saturday…. I changed up a display, added lights and lots of fun stocking stuffers and gifts! If you need some unique earrings…. Pillbox compacts… pendants of your favorite teams or pop culture characters…. Stop at the middle hallway, downstairs, at 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬-𝐇𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐬𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞!!! Also fully loaded with dictionary prints that fits 8x10 frames— they’re just 7.95 each or 3 for $20! Make up a seasonal gift for someone!

Theres also a good kany of the vintage style Rocket City t shirts left too!

After a fantastic afternoon yesterday (thanks to those who. Braved the cold and came out!!)— went to 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬-𝐇𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐬𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞 with my beautiful mother… and worked my booth a little!

Added a good many things that are perfect for stocking stuffers! Men’s one of a kind cufflinks, tie bars and tie tacks…. Small pocket mirrors…pendants and earrings… bracelets … all made by yours truly!

Also stocked up on vintage Little Golden Books— mostly first and second editions!

Lastly, I added a huge selection to the popular dictionary page prints!

The store is full of items that are perfect for your Christmas shopping needs! Go check them out!

I am out of invites from my personal page---and a private event can't be shared from here--- sooooo---- here is a graphic about Sunday's Open House. It is normally the Sunday after Thanksgiving-- but on odd years--- it will be the second Sunday in December!

We will have about the same number of crafters who will be setting up.... if you'd like an invite AND we have shared friends on facebook? I can ask one of them to send you one. There's a lot more going on within that page than here!!!

We ARE continuing to bring food donations for Hands Across Decatur. HAD provides a hot lunch every day--and people can take home a sack lunch so they'll be able to eat that night. We are asking people to bring any items that are suitable for a sack lunch!! There will be bins on the front porch-- and if not too cold-- someone there to take them for you!

Well. I opted to make a reel after my post and somehow, it never loaded at all- none of it! Sooooo

This weekend! My next to the last show of the year—- the N.E.A.C.A. Christmas show is this weekend at the VBC in Huntsville!(my last show is the open house next Sunday… Message me for detail details!) admission to the show is free and Neaca gives away a $20 gift certificate every two hours that can be used at any booth in the show! The VBC does charge $15 for parking, but the city has a five dollar parking deck on Monroe, which isn’t too far away.

There are lots of great crafters here so it’s a perfect weekend to whittle down that Christmas list! I would imagine there will be a big crowd this mornig, but in the afternoon when the SEC championship starts, the crowds may be smaller so for those who don’t care, would be a great time to come and shop!

Today the show is from 9 to 6 and tomorrow it will be from 12 to 5

This is a bit of a long shot…. But at Christmas Village— a woman named Stephanie struck up a conversation with a woman who had been undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Without going into details— I would love to get in touch with Stephanie …. She had long dark brown hair, maybe in her 30’s… beautiful complexion. She shops with me regularly, so I’m hoping she’s a part of this group, a follower or whatever it’s called 🙂
