Long Post Warning! Lol
Hello my friends and hometown community. Some of you may know me, others may not. My name is Brandon Johnson. I grew up in Hartselle. I graduated in 2013 from Hartselle High. I've played sports, been apart of events, worked, etc in Hartselle. I now live in Decatur. Last Saturday, I opened 2 stores in Decatur. One is an antique store and the other is a thrift store. The thrift is not a non-profit, it is my personal thrift store. However, after being blessed to grow up in New Covenant Church now Daystar, World Harvest, attending the Hartselle Camp Meetings, and having amazing role models both just to help me grow up and to guide me spiritually, the mission of the thrift store is to meet people where they are on their journey. I feel called to pour into the (256) Decatur/Hartselle communities, my community. My current community decatur, and my community full of people and memories that have made me who I am today. I say all this to say, my first mission for the thrift store is I heard of the tornadoes last Friday night/Saturday morning. I drove through town yesterday, down Sparkman St. I had no clue how bad the tornado had affected my hometown. I know one of the families whose yard/house/car was tore up. Being that I just opened last Saturday, a week ago today, I don't have tons of cash flow, however, I am posting here so anyone who sees this can reach out. If you, or anyone you know, needs clothes, furniture, household items, yard work, most things but cash, please send me a friend request, message me, call or text my business phone at 256-612-1462. I have some things, and I have some people I have talked about partnering with once we learn what all the need is. Though my businesses are in Decatur, I would not be the man I am or have been able to get this far in my life without the people and the upbringing I had here in Hartselle. I just want to be a powerful force of love and meet people where they are on their journey just as God did with Paul on the road to Damascus. If you own a business or are a private individual who would like to partner with us in helping those affected by last week's storms, please reach out as well. Thank you hartselle for even making it possible for me to be able to pour back into this community. 💛🔥☀️
