Although unable to be actively engaged in the day-to-day practical aspects of the business in recent years, Doris' spirit will live on through her own writings and long ago vision for what Berry Hill has become. She will be missed by many who knew her well, and those who chanced to have passing exchanges when searching among the ever-changing forgotten treasures awaiting new homes. She loved hearing everyone's stories and knowing a long-sought book or new discovery would help fuel or inspire a project. Thank you to everyone who over the years helped to fulfill her dreams that enabled her to live among the trees and books, and thank you Doris, for Berry Hill.
