Quite disappointed with the efforts put forth by Dixon's Auction on one of our consignments this week. This lot contained an important and topical movie poster from the 70s (which we would have chosen to list separately).
ONE, Single Out of focus photo was taken of less than half of this piece (along with similar partial photos of other items)
We emailed Dixon's after we saw this, hoping they would correct, OR AT THE VERY LEAST take another photo of the key item. Consequently, we DID NOT EVEN GET A REPLY TO OUR EMAIL! Which was surprising and sad for us.
We've been attending this auction for about a decade. Until the Pandemic, we were there EVERY WEEK. We've purchased a great number of things, spent plenty of money and consigned many times. Maybe this lot wasn't fantastic, but, as people who have sold and auctioned thousands of items ourselves, we'd say that you must give things their BEST CHANCE of selling!!
