Vintage Concert Hall Wildcat record player from the early to mid 1970’s. This player was basically a GE unit with a BSR turntable, later sold under the “Emerson” name.
These older players with built in speakers are miles above almost every portable record player made today.
This particular unit is fully automatic, and just needed a bit of lubrication on the old grease and it still works flawlessly.

For those of you just getting into the vinyl hobby, and who don’want to commit a lot of money to a turntable system (understandably) and have settled on a budget record player like a Crosley suitcase or similar, there are better vintage alternatives. This would be one: vintage Califone record player. Many of us here recognize this player from our grade school days, as these were the classroom standards. They are built like tanks, and have booming sound compared to the mass produced record players of today. Granted, they are not the best for your most valuable records, but neither are the suitcases. But with a good fresh stylus, they can be used with confidence. These can be found second hand, typically for under $100 in working condition, and unlike the suitcase budget players, they are SERVICEABLE!!

Just a reminder that all titles are first come first served, no holds, no bulk buying of a single title until everyone gets through the initial line.
