Prayers for our sweet Mascot and the center of our business- Juan

Really needed to wake up to this, this morning.

Two weeks ago today, my sweet monster was diagnosed with an suspensory injury. I had to swallow the kind news, it would be in his best interest to retire him as a jumping horse. It was a kick in the gut, I’ve been working so so hard- training and re-building back our partnership after having kiddos and taking so much time off. Juan LOVES to jump and even more run XC! Hopefully with enough time off, healing- he’ll be able to return to work as a dressage horse.

A BIG pill to swallow. Not my decision, so it stung a lot.

I woke up to this-

If I can encourage just one person tonight who’s struggling in their riding journey, remember this: if you have a happy horse that feels safe, loved, is well fed and cared for - you’ve already won.

Give yourself grace if the training isn’t where you want it to be yet, it will come. Try to enjoy the journey in the middle of the story not just afterwards. There will always be more hard days than perfect ones, but if you’re loving your horse well, you’ve already won. Miss you and love you all -

Juan is just like Anna said… He’s a happy horse that feels safe, loved, is well fed and cared for - you’ve already won.

And that I have- I’ve won 💕

Prayers for a good recovery for the monster. 💕 I can’t wait to dance.
