25 years ago, my mother bought me a sewing machine for Christmas. It was the first Christmas that I was too old for Santa to really be coming. I was SO disappointed at the time, but is funny how God works things for good. I started with a book, my machine, and a pattern for "Hammer" pants (all the rage at the time). I proceeded over the years to make my own clothes, including my homecoming dress (
no pressure there!). I would sew for people I knew, and after not too long, decided that I was starting to lose my joy of sewing. I took a break, and it was a few years before I started to sew again. Thankfully, my friends had a lot of little girls out there to sew for. After a couple years, along came our baby girl. My husband has worked hard to allow for me to stay home with our daughter. He is in the military, so I have been left with a lot of down-time. Sewing is one of my pride and joys, as it helps me take my mind off his absence. It fills the late hours when his presence is missed so much. That being said, I love all things old and new in fashion and I get bored easily, so I have no interest in being the type of manufacturer that pumps out multiples of the same thing. I want to do original works that give my customers the peace in knowing that they won't be seeing the same thing over and over. I take the time to create each one with the love that I would give to it for my own child. I welcome any questions you may have regarding anything you see or want to see created. I am just starting out in this new endeavor, and new designs will be added frequently, so please check back! Thank you for taking the time to let me tell you a little about me!
