🎵 DC Ensemble, a collective from various churches and backgrounds who sing gospel music.
🎵 Live Your Dream, a husband-and-wife team who play their own musical creations, plus a vast repertoire of great hit renditions from the 60's, 70's, '80's, 90's and 2000's.

Say hello to the latest food vendor!

Harvest Local Cuisine is now open and these guys are ready to serve up their farm-to-table dishes at the 2nd Street Market! They source produce and ingredients from local farms and producers, when available. Just take a look at these fresh and tasty foods!

Harvest Local Cuisine will feature both familiar favorite dishes AND a rotating menu based on what's in season. To stay up to date, follow their page to see the upcoming menu each week, or do yourself a favor and stop in to check it out!

We have good news for people who like good food: there are THREE new food vendors starting with us this summer!

The first we’d like to highlight is TropiBites , which brings a Caribbean-Asian fusion experience to the 2nd Street Market. You’ll find fresh tropical baked goods, flavorful bowls, such as jerk chicken and Tropi shrimp, chickpea curry and sushi full of tropical inspiration, refreshing Switcha fruit drinks (the best way to cool off in the summer heat) and more.

But don’t just take my word for it. Take a look at this food and stop in for a bite soon!

Meet Chris, our new assistant manager! 😊

You may have noticed a new face at the 2nd Street Market recently! Meet the Market's assistant manager, Chris Blackford. He's a super cool dude with a long-time love of the Market. Be sure to say hello when you see him! Here's a little more about Chris:

🍅How long have you been a Daytonian? I'm a lifelong Dayton area resident and lifelong MetroParks user.
🍅Where did you work before coming to the Market? I primarily worked at the Brookville Branch of the Dayton Metro Library prior to working at the 2nd Street Market; however a highlight was working as a Seasonal Historical Interpreter at Carriage Hill MetroPark for two summers while I was attending college.
🍅Have you visited the Market often before working there? I've been a fan of the 2nd Street Market ever since it opened. I have fond memories of coming here with my family as a kid and have been a big fan and visitor ever since.
🍅What is your favorite produce to eat? My favorite produce has to be a freshly picked tomato or sweet corn. A good local apple is up there, though!
🍅What do you like most about the Market? My favorite thing about 2nd Street Market is the wonderful community building I see every day here from the talented vendors and entertainers, local organizations, and the visitors who come to support it all.
🍅What are you looking forward to? Our outdoor market season! We have returning favorites and new faces appearing this year. I'll also plug the wonderful musicians we have every Saturday and Sunday who provide such a nice ambience to the place.
