Y’all! Tomorrow at 12pm EST we are launching our fall patterns! Who’s excited???

For fall I tend to gravitate toward colors like rust, orange and maroon. With that in mind, I found some cozy flannels, soft patterns and reversibles. Your pups won’t even want to take them off!

Mental health check in - How’s everybody doing emotionally?

I’ll be honest, I’m getting stressed. Between classes, practicum, my job, and my business...you could say I’m a little busy. I’m getting prepped for our fall launch next week so I’m excited..but boy am I exhausted. Sitting on the couch with my pup is a welcome opportunity for decompressing.

Jumping for joy that it’s the weekend! How will you be spending the long weekend?

We’ll be heading up to Lake Erie for some camping and hopefully finding some good hikes in northeastern Ohio! Counting down the minutes until we leave...but in the meantime catching up on all these bandana orders and prepping for our fall🍁 launch!

Are we over the quarantine jokes yet?

We’re still socially distancing and quarantining as much as we can over here. I’ll be honest, that’s not hard to do when we moved 12 hours away from all our friends and family last year. Plus, for an introvert with social anxiety like me, this is heaven! I was MADE for this.

However, I recognize many people are not. If you’re struggling with isolation, experiencing more anxiety and depression that usual, or find yourself in an abusive situation, I am here for you. I see you. Your experience is real and valid. I hope you find at least one thing that might improve your day. If you’re a part of this community, hopefully that thing is looking at all the cute dogs all day!

Su***de Prevention & Awareness Month is coming up in September. I urge you if you’re struggling seek help with a trusted loved one, a therapist or an emergency hotline (1-800-273-8255).

I’ll be participating in the National Alliance on Mental Health Walk in September and will be sharing more info on that later on .de.theo’s account. I’d love for y’all to join me, or to at least follow along and support!

Daily conversations with Theo 😂 Who’s with me?!

I’ve talked about breed discrimination before. A lot of times people will comment on how big Theo is, and be afraid of him because of his size. Theo only weighs 45 lbs so for a standard doodle he’s actually pretty small! He often looks so much larger than he his with his long hair, and that intimidates people. I get it.

But throw a bandana on him and do some tricks, and people forget all about his “large size.” My wish for you all is that a dapper bandana will help attract ALLLLL the attention for your pups, regardless of breed!

Theo is so snuggly today, it certainly makes it hard to get any work done. Worth it though! I’m soaking up all of these cuddles because he’s growing so fast...he turns 1 on Saturday! 😭⁣

How many dogs do you have? If you have multiple, how long did you wait to get your second, third, etc.?

I’m trying to convince my partner for another pup. You know, I think it would be cute for Theo to have a built in friend and playmate! But my he is adamant that we won’t get another pup until Theo is at least 3 years old (so two years from now! He’s nuts...right? 🤣

I think if we have multiple dogs, we have a better excuse for all the toys, bandanas and accessories that we have for Theo... because then they can share 😉

Large breeds often get a bad reputation. I get it..it’s easy to be afraid of a pup who stands as tall as you and weighs nearly the same as you too. Typically though, Great Danes are gentle giants. Throw a dapper bandana on them though, and they no longer seem quite so intimidating. In fact, they might even get more smiles and attention from strangers! Have you ever experienced breed discrimination? Have pet accessories helped to reduce that in some way? I’d love to know!⁣
