Hey friends!🍦

Our main goal has always been having our ice cream in grocery stores around the country, AND in our favorite Dayton businesses. Time showed us that the first part was *really* gonna take special effort and attention, so we decided to step back last month to take a break and navigate the future.

We hoped our flavor inventory at The Pizza Bandit would last quite a while, but warm temperatures and massive events at Yellow Cab Tavern ate through that quickly. But fear not! They now have frozen goodness from I Heart Ice Cream for your post-pizza pleasure 🍨🍕

We also may have devoured a few pints during the downtime. For research and development purposes, obviously.

All that to say - this isn’t goodbye, it’s see you later. Whether you’ve enjoyed our flavors, liked a post, or supported in silence - you’re all incredible, and we’ll see you around all of Dayton’s epic food spots 💙

This limited-time flavor was made for 2 reasons:

1. It’s light and summery and delicious
2. The Beatles Tribute event hosted by The Pizza Bandit and Yellow Cab Tavern this weekend! ☀️

Ridiculous! When the news first hit that Choco Tacos were being discontinued (RIP 1983-2022 🥀) - the scholars and PhDs over at The Pizza Bandit suggested we make a gourmet version of the beloved treat 🍫🌮🍦

So that’s exactly what we did!

We start by folding in loads of house-made waffle-cone crumble into our signature vanilla ice cream. We then add swirls of our own rich sundae fudge, and complete the flavor with sweet’n salty candied peanuts.

‘Choco Bell’ is up for grabs NOW - but the amount is limited! Get it online through the Pizza Bandit site, or visit them in person to secure your pints 🥄

🚨 SPECIAL FLAVOR ALERT! 🚨

Horchata ‘N Mango - Creamy horchata ice cream with swirls of fresh mango 🍨🥭

No shortcuts taken with this one! We toasted white rice and almonds to enhance their flavor, then steeped them in our ice cream base. Then comes a profile of pure vanilla and cinnamon for the perfect finishing taste.

We complete it by rippling in a fresh-made mango swirl to add bright and summery bursts of flavor!

We’ll have this in-person at Birria Fest, this Friday ONLY from 4-8pm at Yellow Cab Tavern! Choose between dozens of delicious Hispanic-inspired meals, then chase em with some creamy and refreshing dessert 🍦🌮🍕🌽🌯

The BEST parts of Pop Tarts are the filling in the middle and the icing on top.

We reduced fresh blueberries into a house-made filling, and swirled in our signature vanilla icing (because unfrosted Pop Tarts are for monsters and everyone knows it) 🫐🧁

We even toasted the graham crackers we used in the ice cream, to give it a more authentic “outta the toaster” flavor

If you enjoy Kings Island’s legendary “blue ice cream” - you can now enjoy the flavor in your own home (minus the motion sickness 🎢)

Cobbler ‘N Cream - Blueberry milkshake ice cream with almond-butter whipped cream and cinnamon-graham crumbles

When we created this combo, we were never intending to chase that flavor - neither of us have even tasted the Kings Island version!

But the first time we made this, everybody kept telling us how similar it is - and they were all for it. So now that it’s 80° again, we had to bust it out ☀️

We will have it in-person (and by-the-pint), this Thursday ONLY at Yellow Cab Tavern from 6-8pm. Grab some pizza and BBQ from The Pizza Bandit and KungFu BBQ - then follow it up with some sweets 🍨💙

You know how some “banana” flavored treats taste like stale candy from a 25¢ machine in the late 90’s? This is why we always use REAL ripe bananas for our Banana Pudding ice cream 🍌🍨
