Globidens is a type of mosasaur that had acorn-shaped teeth. Unlike most mosasaurs that had sharp teeth, Globidens teeth were suitable for crushing shelled prey, such as small turtles or ammonites.

Spinosaurus teeth, like many fossils in general, are fractured by the earth and come out of the ground in pieces. These fossils are repaired by gluing them back together. Fossils with significant damage can also be restored, but are not as valuable as ones intact or repaired. This is a repaired Spinosaurus tooth with obvious fractures.

How big are Spinosaurus teeth? Most Spinosaurus teeth are one to three inches long. These are common because dinosaurs shed their teeth as they are growing, so many teeth that have been found belonged to juveniles. Spinosaurus teeth can be up to 5 inches long; however, these are very rare. Larger Spinosaurus teeth are also more likely to have been broken or have significant damage.
