📫 We are super excited to be a Letter-Keeper for the ; a global letter-writing movement of thousands of people who sit down every Sunday to write a letter.

For those seeking a pen pal for the project, you can connect and correspond through the international Letter-Keeper network of independent shops and cafés. (Hint: Favorite Story is a Letter-Keeper!) Letter-Keepers act like a P.O. Box for our local customers so there’s no need to share your address. We promise to take good care of your letters and we’ll message you when a letter has arrived.

We hope you’ll join us in reclaiming a bit of what we’ve lost in this digital age – letter writing invites calm and reflection, allows us to reconnect with our thoughts, ideas and perspectives. It’s a low-pressure creative outlet and a great way to slow down and recalibrate. And it allows us to connect more meaningfully with others. It’s truly a gift that keeps on giving. No one ever gets excited for an email, but letters are a joy to receive. Let’s get writing! ✍️ 💌📫

We’ve got tons of new events planned for you this spring! New dates for Modern Calligraphy with Eileen Block, ✒️ a new Beginning Watercolor class 🎨 that we’re really looking forward to and the lovely Margaret Hart is returning to share her approach to Nature Journaling. 🌸📔🌸

🎄Join us for the Lighting of the Old Oak Tree on Friday, November 28 — a free community event with carols, “snow” on Diablo Road, and a special appearance by The Snow Angel and Father Christmas. ❄️

🎅 After the traditional lighting of the Town’s 350-year-old oak tree, stroll downtown to enjoy festive lights, decorated shops with specials and treats, live music, and cozy restaurants.

In this class, we’ll read a variety of poems for inspiration, and spend time tapping into our inner poet to draft poems from our awakened hearts.
