Brought this home with me from Made in NYC Week.

It’s made from layers of paper, each one cut and assembled by hand. You don’t immediately see all of it, but the depth is there.

That’s what drew me in, the level of care behind something that reads as simple at first glance.

The kind of piece you keep noticing over time.

Saw this pouch made from recycled bike tubes from Moab Bag Co. on a cross country trip with my daughter back in 2023 and thought it was a great example of how sustainability actually shows up in a product.

Not in a big, loud way, just in the materials and how it’s made.

It’s the kind of thing I keep coming back to.

Found this while walking around Nashville this week and was struck by how well these brands show up on the shelf.

Different products, but the same level of care in the packaging, color, and overall presentation.

That’s usually what makes someone stop and actually pick something up. And I did!

We spent part of the weekend at Renegade Craft in San Francisco, discovering new makers and reconnecting with a few familiar ones.

It’s always inspiring to see the level of craftsmanship, creativity, and care that goes into these products.

These are the kinds of makers we look for when sourcing, where every detail feels considered and every piece has a story behind it.

One of the things I enjoy most about building LoculGoods is discovering talented independent makers and the thoughtful details behind their work.

I recently had the pleasure of discovering, and tasting, the work of Brooklyn-based baker Liz McDonough of Sett Goods .

A former architect turned baker, Liz brings an eye for design and detail to her craft, transforming classic shortbread into beautifully made small-batch treats offered in distinctive flavors such as Citrus Zing, Pistachio Snap, and Simply Short.

The shortbread is thoughtfully packaged in distinctive mid-century modern–inspired pouches, each containing two perfectly portioned cookies.

Discovering and sharing makers like Liz is exactly why LoculGoods exists.
