Big smiling heart as I box up a stack of books to be included in the library at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) National Technical Institute for the Deaf PLAY Lab. The new research lab focuses on how deafness and sign language impact cognition in deaf, hard-of-hearing, and hearing children ages 5 months to 5 years old. The lab’s research efforts aim to help improve the way hearing-impaired children are taught. 🧡

This is Steve, director of the White Pony Express General Store which distributes new and like-new clothing, toys, children’s books and games to local neighbors in need. I had the pleasure of meeting Steve and donating a box of my books to be added to ‘baby backpacks’ being filled with new and needed items for children 0-5.
