It's Happening! It's book club time! Here are the next four books! Remember to check the details of each in our events tab. Silent book club the first Friday of the month. That means today! Bring your own book and read with some soft music. Booksellers Choice is the third Fridays and these next two are good. The Dogeared Dude got to pick for July! And finally, this months fourth Friday is mystery/thriller and it has The Dude on the edge of his seat. Next months fourth Friday we are back to Romantasy with a popular read that everyone is ready to talk about. Mark your calendars— dates below!

We are staring down a RAINY Memorial Day weekend, Danville, but you can find PLENTY of sunshine at your local bookshop. 🥰

We have DOUBLESTACKED events for you TODAY!

AUTHOR SIGNING: From 3p-6p, we’ll be hosting Los Angeles-based author K. M. Cookie for a super special book signing extravaganza! Not only will the author be with us to chat with readers 1-on-1 and sign copies of her new release, “Song of Hummingbird Highway,” she will also be hosting a Sparkle Dream Bottle workshop where she’ll guide participants in a hands-on craft, creating their own small, meaningful keepsake inspired by the novel. In addition, Danville’s own Kuumba Dance Co will be on site, sharing the beauty and culture of West African drumming with us.

MAY ROMANTASY BOOK CLUB: At 6p, we’ll turn the lights down for our semi-monthly discussion of our latest Romantasy book club book, “A Fate Inked in Blood” by Danielle L. Jensen. All are welcome!!! And, thanks to my over-eager banana-buying, homemade banana bread will be provided. 🤣🫶
