Aasma's Dream 100% virgin wool scarf 😃

What is virgin wool? 🤔
Virgin Wool is exactly what it sounds like; the first shearing of a lamb. It is simply wool that’s never been used before. It’s better than recycled wool because it’s stronger and higher quality. Virgin wool is the softest of its kind, and is very fine. ☺️

However, recycled wool isn’t the best for clothing, scarves or blankets if softness is your goal. 😎

Even though you can dry-clean or soft wash wool, many people simply hang them up and let them air out, finding that to be just as effective. 🙂

Now the next time someone wonders, “What is virgin wool?” you’ll know the answer! 😇

The simple striped designs are striking, vibrant and beautifully warm. The texture is gorgeous. This throw takes boho styling to another level. The piece would make a perfect blanket for the end of the bed, a wonderful colorful rug, or a wall hanging.

Every part of the process to make these blankets bears the mark of the hand. The cotton is hand cleaned and dyed using a mix of natural plant based and aniline dyes, and the blanket itself is woven on a 'backstrap' loom, a simple device that passes behind the weavers back - a blanket such as this will take about two week to complete.
