Skidompha Secondhand Book Shop We offer a variety of previously owned books for your reading and gift-giving enjoyment.

We are run entirely by volunteers and 100% of our profits go to promote arts, science, culture, and education at Skidompha. The Skidompha Secondhand Book Shop is run by a dedicated staff of volunteers. 100% of proceeds go to promote arts, science, culture and education at Skidompha Library.

Are you looking for something new to read? We are open this week from 9 to 4 every day except for New Year’s Day.

Located at 17 Backstreet Landing, the shop is a major fundraiser for Skidompha Public Library, offering hardcover and paperback books in dozens of categories; music on CDs and records; movies on DVD and videotape; audiobooks; puzzles; and gift certificates. All items are donated, all staff members are volunteers, and all proceeds support the programs and collections of Skidompha Public Library.

Donors can leave books and other items whenever the shop is open.

Pop-Up Half-Price Sale!⁠

All books in the Mystery and Science Fiction/Fantasy categories are on sale at half price now through December 8 at Skidompha Secondhand Book Shop. The sale includes books in the children’s section and the adult collection.

Besides offering thousands of books in dozens of categories, the shop offers puzzles; DVDs and videos for VCRs; and music on CDs and vinyl records. All items are donated, all staff members are volunteers, and proceeds support the collections and programs of the Skidompha Public Library.

Starting this Wednesday—We're having a two-week sale on DVDs! All DVDs will be on sale from Wednesday, Sept. 14, through Wednesday, Sept. 28.

The DVDs include movies, TV series, exercise programs, martial arts movies, documentaries, foreign-language titles, and movies for children. Single DVDs will be on sale for $1 each; sets for $2
