WORKSHOP> Foraging Now: Late Spring
Foraging in Spring in mid-coast Maine is amazing! We are blessed with an amazing selection of fabulous, wild plants to support us. If you've always wanted to get out there & make use of all those treasures, but aren't sure where to start-- this workshop is for you! Join us in the Saturday May 23rd at 2pm.
While we will not be going out in the field together, this workshop will be the next-best thing!

A beginner-level class, this workshop will be entirely centered on bioregional herbalism, the practice of learning, using, respecting, & growing alongside the plants that grow around us. We will discuss what is in season & currently blooming here in our section of mid-coast Maine. We'll work together with freshly harvested, wild plants, focusing on easy ways to ID them, their habitats, & their uses.

Each attendee will leave with their own Foraging Calendar specific to our area, ID & harvesting info for many currently popping plants, as well as some beautiful Plant Monographs.

This will be a small group class & very hands on. We are expecting it to run about 2 hours long. CLASS SPACE IS LIMITED. This is a PRIVATE EVENT; advance ticket/s must be purchased.

Come meet the latest edition to our Community Recycling Center! Extremely thrilled to offer actual plastic recycling at our shop now! Bring us your plastic waste & we'll keep it out of our landfill! Clam-shells, bubble wrap & mailers, plastic film & bags - all can now be recycled. If course, we are still accepting all brands of beauty product packaging [including disposable razors] for Recycling as well. Small changes = big differences! Together we can make an impact!

Join us March 21st from 4-6 pm for this FREE community event at our 127 Elm Street Shop. Spring Equinox, Animals In Need, Community, & Cocktails!

We run a drive each Spring to help our local Animal Shelter, offering a discount to customers in exchange for their donations. This year, to celebrate our 10th Drive, we’re turning it into an evening Party & moving it from May to March! Simply bring in a donation of much-needed items from the pictured list to help support Midcoast Humane, & get 20% off your next purchase with us!

On the evening of the 21st, pop in between 4 pm & 6 pm. We’ll gleefully accept your donations & have lovely Herbal Cocktails & Zero-Proofs for you to sip. Here’s your chance to help out this crucial community resource & the animals they serve, save a bundle on our handcrafted, natural beauty products, socialize, & enjoy an Herbal Beverage while celebrating the Spring Equinox-- WHAT could be more fun?!

We are all born with plant knowledge, but sadly, in this modern, tech-obsessed world, many of us are not in touch with it. This workshop will focus on connecting to & awakening that innate knowledge, showing you how to deepen that connection one plant at a time.
A beginner-level class, this workshop will cover the basics of working with plants out in the field, how to compile your knowledge by beginning your own Materia Medica, & recommended information to include in your plant monographs. Together, we will all create our own monographs working with live plants.
This will be a small group class & very hands on. We are expecting it to run about 2 hours long. CLASS SPACE IS LIMITED. This is a PRIVATE EVENT; advance ticket/s must be purchased.

It's 'that time of year' again -- Cold & Flu season. Delicious & powerful, elderberry syrup is wonderful to have on hand to treat colds & flu, & also for use as a preventative.
