My new favorite mantra is “be a light” 💫 it’s way too easy to get caught up in all the bad, then project that onto friends and colleagues. Not fully sure if this mindset shift is working because the universe really do be testing me sometimes 😮‍💨 but I’m so thankful for our little corner of the internet and all you wonderful people in it

PS my manufacturer is back from spring festival holiday and we are getting the ball rolling on the hair claw relaunch 💪🏼 hope to have updates for y’all soon!! 💚

Hello! There are a bunch of new faces around here, so I wanted to re-introduce myself! I’m Madison 👋🏼 a grad student by day (and sometimes night, and sometimes the weekends 😂) and small business owner ❤️ On my feed you’ll find a mix of science content, food I’m cooking or craving, and other things bringing me joy! I sometimes wonder if I should go full force with science here, but for now I’m happy showcasing my many loves 🥰
If you’re in science and made it this far, I’d love to hear about your science as explained to an elementary schooler ⬇️ (this helps me gauge what y’all might be interested in and makes your answers more widely accessible)! Here’s mine: I look for special proteins called antibodies that can recognize other proteins and hold onto them really tightly. Sometimes it can be hard to find good antibodies, so I’m developing tools to make it easier. One day I hope my antibodies will help us find bad proteins that tell us when we’re sick

The rain has really been inspiring some cozy times: lots of warm beverages and meals, appreciating the season (old pic sorry!), and reading in bed (this gem was by and it was my first graphic novel in a loooong time - truly so great, I’d defs recommend!) Hope everyone is staying safe out there 💚

“Do nothing days” are a little bit of a lie, but they’re days when I don’t have any responsibility to anyone (no friends to meet up with, no lab work to do) and I can do whatever I want! It mostly means catching up on life (chores that I let pile up) but also means rest and creative activities too 💚

It’s my first time shipping items like these and your interest was greater than expected (which I’m so thankful for), but the packaging supplies may not have been the bestttt choice 😂 so please let me know!!!

I’ve got a lot of fun things planned for us in 2024:
✨ We’ve got the hair claw launch on January 19th and I’ll be sharing a new hobby I’ve picked up (I am super excited about it!!) and hope to launch some things from it in April
