Leather cover for replaceable Moleskine notebook. Of course all handmade - cut, design, stamp, stain, paint, seal, sew, branding. The left side is the back of the cover with two previous ranch brands stamped and painted. Symbolic of the past. The right side is the front with the family ranch brand from the actual branding iron above! Symbolic of the current and future. Pretty cool to be a part of this unique gift from father to son!

Saturdays mean a trip to Home Depot. Or probably three trips because I get so distracted I forget why I originally went up there. Or got the wrong size. Or need more of something. Or just because. Happy Saturday!

After a season of field use and some feedback from customers I’m changing some things on the duck straps. Same brass finger trigger for quick release up top but everything else got an upgrade - sealed three times with duck fat oils, longer straps, larger D rings, and most importantly all brass rivets instead of snaps. May be there for the last few days of this season but for sure ready for next year!

South Texas buck rattle horns headed down to San Anton. The wraps are buffalo with steel grey stitching. Hand braided leather cords with brass split ring and matching steel grey end ties. Customer initials C and S hand carved and painted with black acrylic. Ready for the rut in the fall to bring in the big boys! @ San Antonio, Texas

Set of co****le boards for a church down in Boerne. Pocket holes to hide the screws on the base and finishing nails plus putty on the top. The detail work to hand paint the logo took some time. White and royal blue beanbags. @ Boerne, Texas

Dogs’ lives are short. Too short. Some say that’s their only flaw. But we know going in there will be heartache at some point. You know that hurt and loss is coming - and expiration date sooner than our own. That we’ll lose the wagging tail greeting as we get home. There is some beauty in loving something and knowing anguish will come one day. Losing two good dogs back to back years has been tough. But we remember all the good times, good hunts, just all the good. This axis was harvested with Juba in his last hunting season before moving on. And now all the good can be remembered each time we glance at them. @ Midlothian, Texas

XXL valet tray. White oak lumber + buffalo leather inlays. Plenty of room for everything: 8.5x11” paper, 10x4.25” envelope, and two 5” squares for change, keys, EDC, etc. Initials hand painted with Angelus black. I really wanted to keep this one for myself! @ Houston, Texas

Second bootjack from a Christmas order. Very different design but same high quality of every hand made item. Diamond checker with filigree style scrolling around the initials.

Medium size Texas cutout whiskey cork holder.
100% handmade means the design is drawn by hand, each hole is measured out precisely, hand tools used to cut and drill, sanding with sheets, staining with rags, painting with brushes, and signing/numbering the back.
