DORBA volunteers put in an average of over 18,000 hours annually maintaining 26 multi-use trails in North Texas.

These trails are primarily used for mountain biking but are increasingly used by runners, walkers, and hikers.

Without DORBA, many of these trails would likely not be available for the public’s use.

As a 100% volunteer organization, our biggest need is volunteers!

However, our projects also require significant financial support each year.

The largest portion of our budget is used for trail maintenance and advocacy - tools, power equipment, materials, supplies, equipment maintenance, insurance, and much more.

Huge shout out to everyone who helped fix the bridge yesterday. Ean Schuessler and Leigh Latshaw risk life and limb to retrieve the bridge that was washed down the stream and drag it back to the Crossing. Then they, along with Fausto Pesina, Fernando Gonzalez, and the SlowPokes MTB group, extended the bridge and raised it up so that it should be above the water next time it floods.

One thing to note, that area is going to be a little bit easier to ride now since the bridge crosses higher up. I don't want to hear any moaning and complaining about how we are "dumbing down the trail." The bridge needed to be lifted and extended, wasn't really a way to do that without also making that section slightly easier. This is just what happens over time as the creek bed widens and erodes away.

📌 PSA: For safety reasons, please avoid Loop 2 (Yellow), due to a creek crossing bridge got swept away by the recent storm. We will assess and plan for the bridge recovery effort.

Please reach out if you are able to volunteer.
