Here is what a very mild looks like. You can control the color by continuously by giving it time, adding more, or getting it hotter. I used a tiny paint brush to paint it in. It is a good idea to have a baking soda and water solution handy to immediately stop the reaction with the color you want is reached. This is not always necessary for Liver of Sulfur, but in the application it is encouraged. See previous reel for finished product.

Just finished my first try at a and man am I dizzy 🥴. Turned out pretty nice! Maybe a thicker outer band or a make the base ring a bit more narrow. Still looks good though!

Here is the same just a few hours after cutting/polishing. This is what happens to Ethiopian opals. They soak up the water, turn clear, then after, get REAL milky. Stay tuned to see how it looks when it finally dries out…
