Here is a brief overview of our newest MSA pedal steel coming soon.
MSA OMNIPITCH
The changer and the entire topside of the MSA pedal steel E9th of the guitar will remain exactly the same.
However, the pull rods are connected and activated by mil-spec grade servo motors. Each motor is connected with a pull rod to a raise finger and lower finger on each string. This removes the need for cross rods and bell cranks. There are also no nylon tuners.
It has a very cool touch screen positioned in the rear padded deck equipped with WiFi, Bluetooth, a removable SD card slot and a USB service port. The touch screen is where you will tune all of your pedals and knee levers and make any and all changes to your setup. Very user friendly.
The knee levers and pedals are equipped with hi end Hall Effect Sensors to a control board. The pedals and knee levers are exactly the same as the MSA Legend model.
The accuracy and speed of these motors and Hall effect sensors are far beyond the requirement for pedal steel.
The OMNIPITCH software for the touch screen is complete and ready to go.
You will be able to change your copedent configuration on your pedals and knee levers in a few seconds.
The software will also remove detected cabinet drop and eliminate the need for compensators.
There is also an incredible bar/joystick option (Bluetooth) that will allow the pedal and knee lever functions to be controlled with your player bar hand. This opens the door and possibilities for those who are unable to use their legs and feet on pedal steel.
Kyle Imgarten (creator and owner of OMNIPITCH) has been in development for over three years and has patented the design and concept along with the software. The name OMNIPITCH is also Trademarked.
MSA Steel Guitars, LLC has entered an exclusive OMNIPITCH venture with Kyle Imgarten for this all new MSA OMNIPITCH Pedal Steel guitar.
A few things that are interesting:
You can Create and store any copedent instantly.
No tuning wrench or nylon tuners required.
Pedals and knee levers are tuned with the touch screen.
You can share your setup with other OMNIPITCH players.
Kyle has created a website for OMNIPITCH users where you can share and retrieve other players setup directly to the guitar.
The new MSA Guitar still has Lfrets and Aura lights along with all of the features already on board MSA pedal steels.
The MSA OMNIPITCH is on an SD10 cabinet equipped with 5 pedals and 5 knee levers. There will also be an MSA OMNIPITCH SD12 version.
The OMNIPITCH guitar will also include the OMNIPITCH App which will be available for your iPhone, tablet, or computer which will allow you to perform the same functions that are on the touch screen. This software is also complete and ready to go.
There are many more features to be addressed at a later time.
More details including the price will be available soon.
We are very excited to be involved with such an incredibly innovative guitar.
