Tumbled down The Rabbit hOle in Kansas City and I’m not sure I ever want to come back to the real world!

This place is pure enchantment—three floors of a historic warehouse transformed into a living, breathing wonderland of children’s literature. Walking through the three-dimensional, hand-crafted scenes of classics like My Father’s Dragon, Caps for Sale, and Anatole is a multi-sensory experience that sparks instant nostalgia for adults and pure wonder for kids.

If you love books, amazing art, and a little bit of magic, put this on your must-visit list. My daughter, Lauren, found it for us as we traveled through Missouri on our way to South Dakota, and it’s a space that will stay with me forever.

I’m behind on June posts, so here’s a start. Sharing three cuties who are as fresh as the June flowers. They radiate fun, whimsy, and a bit of sass.

Thank you dear Lisa for letting me bring these girls to my collection, I adore them! I honestly have had them for some time - that shows you how far behind I am on posting my collectibles.

Have a glorious Tuesday, my dear friends! 💕💕💕

If I’ve been quiet on here over the last few weeks, it’s because my hands have been incredibly full. I have been pouring every ounce of energy into preparing my little bookshop, and I am so excited to say that it is finally open for business. To keep up with the shop, follow me

It has been a beautiful, but busy whirlwind of a month. I’ve spent the past few weeks up on ladders wallpapering, hanging pictures, and carefully curating every single book on the shelves.

Beyond the stories themselves, I wanted this space to have special touches that make browsing feel meaningful. I found an amazing person who hand crafts book sleeves to protect these special reads , adding beautiful original art from , and adding a selection of “Blind Date with a Book” mysteries my daughter made for those who love a good literary surprise.

Thank you for hanging in there with me during the silence while I got everything ready. The hard work is done, the shelves are ready and I’m excited about this new adventure. If your in the Dallas area, come see the shop

Before the day gets too busy, my heart is focused on genuine gratitude for the brave souls who fought for our freedom. We are forever in their debt, and today is all about pausing and remembering.

As a child, the early morning Memorial Day parade was a moment of pure joy. The music, the flags, and the excitement. But looking back now, I realize those hometown traditions only exist because of the sacrifices made by those who never made it back.

Wishing you all a speedy meaningful, reflective, and peaceful Memorial Day.

Thank you to my sweet friend Lisa for the beautiful marching girls. I adore them!

Summer hasn’t even arrived and I’m already thinking about fall. I bought these adorable Halloween cuties from my sweet friend Nate last week and I cannot wait to display them in five months when I welcome the fun fall vibes. 👻👻👻

Adding a little bit of nostalgia to the shelf today.

Thank you Lisa for this precious figurines. This is how I feel today - lounging around in my PJ’s with a good book in hand.

To the women who read us our first stories and taught us to dream, Happy Mother’s Day!

As a collector and an author, I’m constantly taken by the artwork and heart found in these vintage treasures. They remind us that while styles change, the stories of family and love stay the same.

Thank you to my sweet friend for this beautiful book! It arrived yesterday and it will live in my vintage book collection - with hopes that one day my granddaughter will open it up and have wonderful memories of our time together.

Find joy in today with whomever you spend it with my sweet friends.

You know me as a collector and an author, but today I’m turning the key on a brand-new chapter. In just a few weeks, I am finally opening the doors to a long-held dream: Little Doorknob Bookshop.

Why the name? Because like the doorknob in Alice in Wonderland, I believe even the smallest entrance can lead to the grandest adventures.

I’m starting small, just a little space where my love for vintage books, my own stories, and fresh new titles all live together.

It’s a work in progress, a dream finally being realized, and I can’t wait to share more as I fill these shelves with magic. Thank you for being patient with me as I have not been as visible on IG over the past months, but now you know why.

Here’s to making dreams come true!!!

These last few weeks have been busy—the “good” kind of busy, but time-consuming nonetheless. I’ll be sharing what I’ve been up to very soon! Until then, bear with me as I’m not quite as active here as I have been over the years. In the meantime, here is one of my favorite Norcrest birds I bought years ago. There was a time when collecting felt so easy and simple; maybe that’s why I cherish these little ones so much.
