Just release: Death on the Lanai: A Golden Girls Cozy mystery by Rachel Ekstrom Courage.

The peculiar invitation delivered to 6151 Richmond Street is short on details, promising only to celebrate “the greatest artist of the century” and encouraging its recipients to “dress to kill.”
After reassuring Rose that it’s just a saying, the girls ditch another Friday night of gin rummy and get glammed up for a soiree at a historic villa. Dorothy hopes she might find an elegant dance partner, or perhaps a new love interest. And Sophia’s thrilled to be putting on the glitz for something other than a funeral.

Just release: Rabbit, Fox, Tar by Ann Patchett.

When Baby appears in Original Hill, her name is on everyone’s lips. A young Black woman is a
rare sight in this part of town, and she sits all day on the Foxes garden wall, swinging her bare feet and speaking to no one. That is, until the charismatic Lucius “Lucky” Foote comes along and touches her, sparking their romance. Arm in arm with Baby, who seems to exert a supernatural pull on the other residents, Lucky is confident he will secure the open city council seat over Baby’s uncle Eugene Fox, the back-from-retirement white incumbent.

Just release: Whistler by Ann Patchett.

When Daphne Fuller and her husand,
Jonathan, visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art, they notice an older, white-haired gentleman following them. The man turns out to be Eddie Triplett, her former stepfather, who was married to her mother for a little more than a year when Daphne was nine. Now fifty-three, Daphne hasn’t seen Eddie for many years, not since the fateful event that changed the direction of both their lives. When they meet again, time falls away; while their relationship was brief, it had a profound impact on them both, and now that they are reunited, they have no intention of ever being separated again.

Just release: The Secret Attic by Chelsea Conradt.

The past Indy just haunting her- it’s hunting her.

Addison Lowe knew her mother-in-law despised her, but inheriting Barb’s massive estate after her death feels less like closure and more like a trap.
Barb’s hoarded rooms aren’t just filled with clutter-they’re filled with secrets. And it’s Addison’s job to unearth them while her husband grieves the loss of the mother he could never let go of.

Just release: Decoding the Devil by Sarah Valentine.

Facing the global threat of a rising Communist world power in the aftermath of World War II,the US employed hundreds of Black Americans to speed-read Russian communications and gather essential information on the US’s most dangerous nuclear rival.
The result was the creation of a segregated civilian codebreaking unit known as the Traffic Processing Division-nicknamed “the plantation.” Despite wage discrimination, grueling hours, strict quotas, and harsh conditions, the plantation’s one hundred college-educated Black women made invaluable breakthroughs in the United States’ Soviet intelligence even as the Red Scare and the backlash against civil rights eroded their democratic freedoms at home. Their underappreciated top-secret work led directly to victory over the USSR and the end of the Cold War thirty years later.
