Men's Health Week kicks off today.

And we want to use this opportunity to remind all our male business owners that no matter how hard the hustle gets, it is very important to slow down and take a moment for yourself.

Get those routine medical checks done, develop healthy lifestyle habits.

It's never too late to start, and there's no rush. Choose progress over perfection.

And be rest assured that we're cheering for you every step of the way.

Happy Men's Health Week!

While you’re soaking in some sun and breeze this summer, we figured you could also soak in some Front Porch Wisdom by Dr. Froswa’ Booker-Drew.

This award-winning book is a faith-centred guide for women of color navigating leadership across nonprofits, corporate spaces, and entrepreneurship, with lived stories from women who have walked the path.

It also offers practical tools for boardrooms, community rooms and zoom rooms and includes reflective exercises to strengthen your voice, strategy, and relationships.

You’ll gain clarity, expand your capacity and anchor your leadership in purpose, so that your work serves your people and your legacy.

This Juneteenth, we want you to remember that liberation is not just a moment, but a mandate.

So, if you’re ready to lead on your own terms, rooted in faith, purpose and community, then join our Juneteenth Giveaway.

Drop WISDOM in the comments for a chance to win a free copy of Front Porch Wisdom. Drawing will be made of Friday June 19!!

Tag a sister-leader who needs this on her journey too.

Dear Business Owners,

We know that you’ve had moments when the challenges felt heavier than the wins. We know about the slow months, unanswered emails, rejections, and fallen expectations.

And yes, sometimes it does seem easier to just throw in the towel and call it a day.

But often, the breakthrough comes after the season that tested you the most.

During this summer break, take a moment to appreciate how far you’ve come.

Every lesson learned, every obstacle overcome, every customer served, and every step taken toward building something of your own deserves a pat on the back.
So stay committed to the vision, and grateful for the journey.

Your persistence today is building the success you’ll thank yourself for tomorrow and the legacy that will live on.

Welcome to June!

Summer is officially here, and while many are planning vacations, backyard cookouts, road trips, and family gatherings, entrepreneurs know the summer holiday can also be a time of fresh opportunities, renewed energy, and strategic growth.

As we reach the halfway point of 2026, take a moment to recognize how far you’ve come.

This year hasn’t been easy. Rising costs, shifting consumer spending habits, and economic uncertainty have challenged businesses across the country. Yet Black entrepreneurs continue to do what we’ve always done: adapt, innovate, collaborate, and build.

And that is something worth celebrating.

This month, we recognize Men’s Health Month and Juneteenth.

The continues to spotlight stories of Black Excellence, with Season 2 focusing on Leadership.

You can also add some networking activity into your holiday by joining the Black Business Network, where you’ll connect with other entrepreneurs who understand your journey.

And even if things haven’t panned out as you projected, remember, the second half of the year is still unwritten.

You can make it count.

Here’s to a summer filled with purpose, progress, meaningful connections, and new possibilities.
