As summer fades and the leaves turn from green to gold, waterfowl season arrives in Southwest Montana. These guided hunts focus primarily on mallards and Canada geese in open water. Hunting from boats, quietly drift the river, targeting ducks as they rest in secluded backwater eddies.The Beaverhead River offers some of Montana’s finest duck hunting opportunities. This winding river is fed by numerous warm springs and surrounded by productive wetlands and thousands of acres of nearby agricultural fields, creating ideal habitat for migrating waterfowl.
