For the past year, Imagination arts has been giving cards to neighbors and local families, spreading cheer instead of Covid! A few hundred cards later… Livi is designing “collections” like her Spring-themed cards, GirlPower cards, and the the ones she is most proud of, her BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL collection. If these are a hit, Livi plans to donate her proceeds to benefit other TRAs/transracial adoptees, and also local organizations addressing real solutions for the homeless.

Imagination arts, in action. All cards are one-of-a-kind, made of heavy card stock and scrapbook-quality papers, washi tape, and stickers. Some wrinkles and asymmetrical charm can be expected because after all, this is a first grader using her own glue, crafting tools, and imagination.

Imagination arts! This is where a little kid puts her big ideas and artistic vision into MOTION! Livi wants to show her community (and eventually the WORLD) that kids can make a REAL DIFFERENCE.

In her first week of running her own charitable business, she raised over $140 dollars to donate to Disaster Aid USA and their COVID 19 Rotary Response. This Busy Bee is currently creating one-of-a-kind greeting cards for our neighborhood...and beyond. (Order form coming soon)

One of her recent observations included the fact that social distancing, curbside grocery orders, and touchless home deliveries make it very hard to pick out meaningful gifts for our friends and loved ones.

However, Livi has experienced firsthand how wonderful it feels to find a hand written note, or a small surprise on our doorstep. We are thrilled and reassured by the "human touch" when someone goes out of their way to bring over a tangible gift or a card, donate some fabric for making masks, or lend a power tool to help us complete a home repair.

So Livi wants to start a trend. Let's see more kids making hand-crafted cards and other gifts that can be personalized, encouraging neighbors to keep spreading rays of sunshine to the front porches and mail boxes of those who might otherwise feel alone in these uncertain times.
