Tonight is a Full Blue Moon!
A Blue Moon is a reminder that some opportunities don't come around often. It invites us to pause and take an honest look at what we've been carrying, what we've been feeding, and what we're ready to leave behind.
This month, as we continue exploring the ways we respond to our triggers, the Blue Moon offers a powerful opportunity to reflect on the habits we've developed to fill our voids, avoid discomfort, or soothe difficult emotions.
Ask yourself:
🖤 What behavior do I keep returning to when I feel triggered, overwhelmed, lonely, or uncertain?
🖤 What need am I trying to meet through that behavior?
🖤 Is that behavior actually helping me, or is it simply helping me avoid something deeper?
🖤 What healthier habit could support that same need in a way that aligns with who I am becoming?
🖤 What am I ready to release so I can make space for something better?
The goal isn't to shame ourselves for the coping mechanisms we've developed. At one point, they served a purpose. The work now is recognizing when those patterns no longer support our growth and choosing new ways to care for ourselves.
This Blue Moon, focus less on what you're trying to stop doing and more on what you're ready to start doing.
Release the habit.
Honor the need beneath it.
Create a healthier response.
Step into the version of yourself you're working to become.
Sometimes transformation isn't about becoming someone new. It's about finally giving yourself what you've been searching for in all the wrong places.
