German WWII M42 Steel Helmet Stahlhelm Large Size. (repro-LW-07)
New Made Item: I have refurbished the Shell to WW2 german specs. I have Repainted and Textured the Shell with (Aluminum Oxide). I have also applied a luftwaffe Decal. This is the very best reproduction M1942 helmet available anywhere. It was copied exactly from an original helmet. The shell is constructed of 1.8mm thick steel, exactly the same thickness used by the Germans in WWII. This means the helmet is as heavy and as solid as an original. The shell is large (size70) and has the correct M1942 flared edge as well as proper pressed steel ventilation holes. For added authenticity Its been stamped with a German wartime four-digit code at nape and ET-70 over ear. The liner comprised of soft tan (cream colored) genuine leather that, just like the originals, will turn brown with age, in correct eight finger configuration with central drawstring and an M1931 aluminum liner band that is maker marked, dated, and size stamped! Liner size can accommodate head sizes 7 1/2 (60cm) up to 7 3/4 (62cm). The all leather chinstrap has a black exterior with tan interior, comes with metal studs, correct aluminum buckle, and connects to the helmet with proper D rings. FINNISH M40/55 HELMET- REFURBISHED to GERMAN SS HELMET. (SS-06)
Original type M40 steel combat helmet that was produced in Germany and supplied to the Finnish Army throughout WW2 and under special contract in 1955, they are known as the M40/55 helmet. The leather liner and chin strap are Finnish Army issue. This is an original military surplus helmet most likely from the 50s contract with Finland. I have refurbished the shell to ww2 german specs. Shell has been repainted with period correct panzer grau paint and textured using (aluminum oxide), installed the correct type split pins & added an SS german decal. I have also added an old torn helmet net. Shell will be size 64cm, liner wil be either 57cm or 58cm. $80.00 Local pickup (coal mtn area) or can ship. USPS shipping cost based on zipcode.
