JRS Variety Store is located at: 716 Sunset Lane in Culpeper, VA (downstairs suite, diagonally over from Weis, Ace Hardware, and Hospital Thrift Store) and we hope you will come by and check it out. This page used to belong to NEW 2 U Store located in Madison, VA but New 2 U had to CLOSE due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. We are now NEW 2 U 2 w/ and will offer items at JRS Variety Store as well as some items from our home workshop via online sales.

Update as I have people asking. I am still in a very slow recovery process. As soon as I recouped we will be reopening. We have plans in place and will be better than ever in the near future.

So we’ve got a bit of bad news… we’ve been in a pretty bad accident and are not able to be open currently. As soon as the hospital discharges happen we will announce a reopening date. When emergencies happen to small businesses its hard to not be closed We will be back and better than ever soon. Current vendors please reach out to me we are not charging you at this time however I did just realize I don’t have your phone numbers with me.

Due to a medical emergency with John we will be opening late on Thursday. I do not have anyone available that can open until 2 Pm. Unfortunately John started having heart issues at the store today and had to be taken to the hospital where he is now admitted. If you tried to come by today I’m very sorry as we left in a hurry and forgot to let everyone know. We are hoping John makes a fast recovery.

We will be closed Wednesday February 4 due to a medical emergency with John. We are so thankful to the amazing EMTs who came to our aid. Our driveway is still icy but then didn’t stop them from helping. John will be okay but we will be here for awhile.

Out of abundance of caution we have decided to remain closed on Thursday. This was a very tough decision for us but the safty of our customers means more to us than making sales. Our entry way is clear however the texture of the sidewalk makes it very slick even with the large amounts of salt applied. With the piles of snow parking is also difficult right now. (The snow removal people did the best they could and we are thankfui for their hard work) We will reasses again tomorrow (Thursday) and let you know.
