This amp needs no introduction. It set the standard for bass amps. Everything about this amp is Legendary, its appearance, its tone and its toughness. This amp works great and sounds Amazing. The amp is just back from the shop for a thorough check-up including a new power transformer and a 15 inch JBL D-140F Bass Speaker. This is the best sounding set-up you could wish for, dolly is included. Serial number 205259 tells you the exact date of manufacturing, 52=1962 and 59=May the 5th month. This amp came at a unique time period in Ampeg’s history (May. ’62). For just a few weeks the last of the remaining grill cloth from the Navy Random Flair era (my favorite grill cloth ever!) was used. There are not that many of these Ampegs out there – and it is a great look in my opinion. Also, another rare feature for the classic B15n is the inclusion of a tilt back feature. This speaker cabinet includes an original mount on the back that you can insert the supplied metal bar in and tilt the unit back – like a wedge monitor. This is very useful on tight stages.

German origin, probably made in the town of Mittenwald for the american market during the latter half of the 18th century. Sears and Roebuck sold these in there catalogs along with pianos for the parlor. Complete restoration in 2014.

This instrument was purchased from Berry Kolstein’s inventory slated for restoration. It is a true Viennese Queen. The heart of the Tyrolean Empire. A neck block and surgical mesh has been added to the edging. The instrument has a mature full sound you would expect from the vintage.
