See this adorable sweet "mosaic" face? Well, he isn't a mosaic, he is a fading white. These guys are born as standard grey or violet and fade. It's a fairly rare mutation and we have happily increased the lines this year and will be working with them more!

This is our sweet lady Colette. She is one of Mr. Peabody's girlfriends and is absolutely convinced she is the most delicate flower on the planet. She experienced the most mild discomfort of her young life by being placed into a carrier and immediately stuffed her face in a corner and played dead and screamed at me when I poked her to check on her. Colette also protests any disturbance to her environment. While her "cellmates" watch me clean...she runs around repeatedly trying to stand on my hand and completely panics that I have stolen her poops. Please keep our delicate flower in your thoughts and prayers as she survives this horrible thing called "life".

This handsome black velvet boy is available at our Washington location. Rico Suave is small, but mighty and oh so handsome. He is almost a year old, so he is set in his personality and it's a great one. This guy is easy going and comfortable with being handled. He isn't a cuddle in and snuggle chin, but he will sit with you a while and he is good being handled. Gets along great with other chinchillas or would love to live as a single king of the castle. Just like the popular saying...you'll be so blue without this gorgeous sapphire male in your life. He is out of our top show lines and a big, beautiful boy. He is, unfortunately, falling out of our show string not because he lacks any qualities as an exceptional sapphire breeding make, but due to an injury he sustained at a young age. The injury, unfortunately for us, causes his tail to curl like a little pig which is seen as a fault on the show table. His sister and littermate is staying here to grow for show and she will eventually be put into breeding.

Blue Stew is available for breeding or pet. He would make an excellent foundation male for a sapphire breeding program and while he is as energetic as any sapphire, he is easy to handle and calm when held.
