Locatile brought some much needed awareness through marketing efforts, and the virtual mercantile generated thousands of dollars of sales for our partner shops.

We also partnered with local charities like Second Bridge, Family Health Partnership Clinic, and local PTOs, for which we are truly grateful for, and we were happy to donate our commissions to these organizations.

We are truly thankful for everyone who contributed to the GoFundMe that helped us launch, to those who helped us build the platform, to those who tested the site, and to the many people who utilized the virtual mercantile as shoppers. Words cannot express our gratitude for those who embarked on this entrepreneurial journey with us.

Locatile was a passion project created as a response to the negative impact on local retail due to the pandemic. A representation of forming a business with a purpose of service before profits to help people when shopping online.

With that said, and with much thought and discussion, it’s difficult to announce that Locatile will be closing the online local mercantile. We will transition Locatile.com, as well as our social media pages, with the focus for people to shop small in person, especially at our partner merchant businesses. Today Downtown Crystal Lake / Main Street celebrates Ladies Day | Night out! It’s a fabulous and fun way to and have fun with friends.

One of our partners Crown & Contour has a few items remaining on their online shop that they are donating to CASA of McHenry County for the SOLD out Little Black Dress event.

You shop online from anywhere, purchase one of the Casa Donation items, and the fab ladies of Crown & Contour will give your generous gift to the charity so raffle/auction off!

So even if you can’t attend the Ladies shopping day/night you can support a local women owned business and a local charity! Order soon, the event is on October 23rd and we want to get donated items to them soon!
