Now that the Christmas rush is over, the college boy is back at school, the decorations have been stored for another year, and we have about a week before the tax busy season begins....let's pass out some accolades. 😃

If you've been in the shop the last few years, you've probably met Richard. He's been a friend of our family since before any of us "younger" folks were born. So, a very long time. When the boys went to college in January of 2023, Garland asked Richard if he would like a job, to which he readily accepted.

When Garland passed in December of 2024, Matthew and I (Rebecca) found ourselves with a mountain of responsibility. I won't go into the details, but it seemed almost impossible to do what was needed to make all the transitions while keeping up with our other responsibilities. Both boys were still in school, Matthew works a full-time job elsewhere, and I'm not Superwoman! There's no way we could've kept the business going without Richard. He pretty much ran the place by himself for several months. We will forever be grateful for his help during an extremely stressful time. He continues to be a big help to our business, and we appreciate him very much!

I’m pretty sure the hardest part of this business is seeing a man pining for a guitar, and when his wife sneaks in and buys it for him, having to tell him it’s sold; then having to endure his disappointment for a couple of weeks while pretending someone didn’t buy it for him for Christmas! 😂
