At last, I found my favorite Christmas tree for this time of year...............the last one to plant!
Other than several rain delays, we finished this years planting yesterday morning. All went well, the equpment ran well, and the old body's doing the work held up.
I have to give a huge shout out to Chris, Tom, Corey, and Brady for the help. Without them I would still be planting for another month. And to Terri for the great lunches, some that turned into dinner on several evenings.
The rain today should set the trees in for a great start in becoming a saleable Christmas Tree around the year 2034.

Did you know that Christmas tree farming is a year-round effort? That’s right! While people across the country are packing their bathing suits for summer vacation, our farmers are heading back into the fields. Some live for vacation, but we live for the look on your face when you've spotted the perfect tree to bring home. It’s a look that keeps us going during the hot days of summer. We hope everyone has a wonderful and safe season!

And just like that another selling season is over.
The first picture here is the real reason for the season. The others are the the blessings we get to enjoy during this season.
Although mother nature didn't cooperate as we would have liked, we loved seeing each and every one of you that made it out this year. We missed seeing some of our regulars, but hope it was just the weather and we will catch up next year.
Thank you to the friends and family that help us out during the selling season and a huge thank you to everyone that supported us this year. We couldn'tdo it without you all.

If the cold and snow has kept you from getting your farm fresh Christmas tree this year, then this weekend might be the opportunity you have been looking for.
We will be open Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 10am to 5pm. We have plenty of nice trees left in the field.
Welcome to central Illinois where you can experience 4 weather seasons in a two week period. Haha!
