I need your trash!! My shell/rock collecting bag stock is running low, but I'm out of material to make more. I'm hoping you guys can help me out!

I make the bags out of popped/discarded floaties, kiddie pools, beach balls, and any other kind of inflatable. I started making these when this huge flamingo floatie got one too many holes in it, and I couldn't stand the idea of putting that much plastic into a landfill!

Now that we're all cleaning out garages and dusting off all of last year's summer toys, stop before you throw that old tube in the trash. I'll gladly take it off your hands :)

Anyone who "donates" some material will get up to 2 free shell bags (depending on size of material). Feel free to spread the word!

Long time no see everyone! I took some time off after the holidays thanks to some health and family issues, but this beautiful weather has me ready to get back behind the sewing machine!

One of my favorite things to do is custom kids clothing from a loved one's clothing. Here are a few things I've done for my family and friends. These are all dresses, but I have also done T shirts, rompers, and more!

Custom work is available on a limited basis as these take time to make. Pricing varies based on complexity, but generally speaking dresses start around $45. Shoot me a PM if you're interested!

Today's featured item is some fun shell collecting bags! These would make a great last minute holiday gift ;)

Have you ever been to the beach or river with the kids and end up bringing home 3 pounds of shells or rocks in your beach bag? I sure have! These Shell Collecting Bags are a great alternative! Made out of repurposed inflatables (floaties, pools, etc.), they have durable nylon rope handles and netting on the bottom to let water and sand fall through. Each one is unique and varies in size and shape depending on the source material, but they average about 7 inches wide by 7 inches tall.

They can be used handbag style with 2 rope handles, or pull one handle out to use them cross-body style! My kids tested these for me in Florida in October, and they were a huge hit :) The first few photos are of them in use and the "before" photos, and then there are photos of the 8 bags I currently have ready to go. I have more grommets on the way and hope to have several more made before Christmas!

Thank you so much to everyone who has visited or liked the page so far! Please feel free to share with friends too! As I build up inventory, I've decided to highlight a few of my favorite styles/items in the coming weeks!

Today's featured item is this adorable sweatshirt dress! This specific one is a size 6, and was made from a Visitation Carnival sweatshirt from 2014! Any Viz hopefuls or alumni around? 😁 My daughter, Rosalie, had a great time modeling this one, and kept saying "These are the coolest pockets ever!"

I love this style and hope to make tons more of them. The dress features half sleeves and super fun exaggerated hip pockets! The price is $30, tax included.

I'm about to start sewing up two more of these dresses, made from the two Christmas sweatshirts pictured. Is anyone interested in either of them in a particular size before I decide myself? I'll have them both finished tomorrow if anyone wants one before Christmas!

I'm also available for custom projects on a limited basis. If anyone has a crew-neck sweatshirt on hand and would like one of these dresses made, shoot me a message or comment here!
