UPDATE
I decided to post a couple pictures from that day but I blurred Cole’s face because some mothers are very much against their children’s face being online. Cole picked out the fabric for his blanket (Batman flannel on one side and patriotic with an eagle on the other). He picked out thread colors for both blankets. Each stitch of both blanket was made by him pressing the pedals on the sewing machine and serger. I wish that I could post without the blur so everyone could see how happy his face looked. If mom ever sees this and gives me the ok, I’ll remove the blur.

I made 2 blankets with 7 year old Clay. One was for him and the other for his 2 year old brother. They had a car ride to Georgia in a couple days and these were for that drive. After Georgia, they were heading to Japan for 3 years. Mom gave me this super sweet card. I would love to post a picture that Clay and I took but I forgot to ask if that was ok so I’ll post the card unless she happens to reach out and say it’s ok. The sacrifices that people in the service make is amazing.
