Just some additional information: This is the only professionally fabricated comic retail storage system and the manufacturer, Skyline Designs, shut down a few years ago. These are made from heavy duty plywood with a birch veneer. They are not particle board or MDF. They measure 41.5" wide x 24" deep. There are currently 5 units available.

It’s with a heavy heart that today we announce that Big Easy Comics will be closing when our lease expires at the end of October. We want to thank all of our amazing customers for your support over the past 11 years and for how you have supported us during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of you will be asking what can be done to save the store and we appreciate those sentiments but the store isn't struggling financially and the decision to close isn’t about money.

Why are we closing? First, there have been a number of changes to the comics and tabletop game industries the past year that have done things that make it more challenging to be a retailer: They have reorganized in ways that creates a lot of additional stress and labor, and on top of that many of them have cut our margins and restricted our ability to sell their products in online marketplaces.

Most importantly though, we want to be free to have the time to spend with our beautiful new granddaughter.

What does it mean to me? Will I get the things I ordered?

We will be receiving most new product for the shelves through the end of June. We will be receiving new comics for subscription customers through the end of July. After July, as we begin the slow process of shutting down, we will no longer be receiving new products unless they are special ordered by customers in advance.

What about my Hero Points or gift cards? You will be able to redeem any points you've earned and any gift cards you have until our final day in business.

Will you be running sales?

Yes, at some point in the future we will begin running sales. Sorry, we do not have any additional information regarding sales at this time.
