Summer News, and more:

For the past 5 summers, the bookstore has been open 7 days a week during the summer (between Memorial Day and Labor Day). But 2026 is a different year. Here’s the news:

🔹OPEN regular hours Wednesdays through Saturdays (11 AM to 6 PM) + BY APPOINTMENT for June*

🔹CLOSED during Washunga Days (June 19-20)

🔹With the exception of Book Club, programming will be paused for the summer. Check the bookstore’s social media and website for events.

🔹OPEN Tuesday, June 2 between 11 AM and 1 PM.

Ann Patchett’s WHISTLER and Maggie O’Farrell’s LAND will be released tomorrow(6/2). We have copies in the bookstore. Stop in and pick up your copy on release day! (I failed to get a pic of LAND and could not decide which pic I liked best of WHISTLER so I didn’t choose! Plus, I can’t get enough of that cover of WHISTLER! 💙💚💛)

*I am available to open the bookstore for your family and friends when the bookstore may otherwise be closed. Call, email or DM to make arrangements.

As we remember today those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, let’s remember the freedoms that these men and women fought to protect:
🔹freedom of the press,
🔹freedom of speech,
🔹freedom to assemble (peaceful protest),
🔹freedom to exercise religion and
🔹prohibit the establishment of a national religion.

May we never forget those who sacrificed for our freedom, and those who violated those American ideals on Jan 6.

The bookstore is closed on Memorial Day and tomorrow, Tuesday, May 26. See our social media for news later this week.
