Summer is here and we are seeing more golf carts, motorized scooters, ATVs, UTVs, and other low-speed vehicles being used throughout our communities. While these vehicles can be a fun and convenient way to get around, safety should always come first.
Please keep the following safety tips in mind:
✅ Ensure operators are of appropriate age and experience.
✅ Follow all applicable traffic laws and local ordinances.
✅ Obey posted speed limits and traffic control devices.
✅ Yield to pedestrians and use extra caution around children.
✅ Never operate recklessly or allow passengers to ride in unsafe positions.
✅ Make sure required safety equipment, lighting, flags, and markings are properly displayed.
✅ Wear helmets and other protective equipment when appropriate.
✅ Parents and guardians should actively supervise young riders.
Our goal is education and prevention. We encourage everyone to take a few moments to review the laws and safety requirements that apply to the vehicles they operate. By working together, we can help ensure our streets, sidewalks, and neighborhoods remain safe for everyone.
