Have you ever been scared to death, but found the courage and did it anyways? This quote makes me think about when I was in 8th or 9th grade and my horse, Jasmine, threw me at the park while we were waiting in line for the parade.
I was wearing my lavender pants with pockets and my lavender and white striped shirt. Jasmine looked dapper with his lavender and white feathers hanging from his halter. I was relaxed letting the sun embrace me; he was relaxed as he grazed on the green park grass. A gentle breeze blew his lavender and white feathers across his line of vision and BAM! I was laying on the ground, bewildered, with grass-stained lavender pants. If I had been wearing make-up it would have been running down my dusty cheeks.
If it wasn't for my dad's encouragement and information about why I needed to saddle back up, I may have walked away from riding a horse ever again. Instead, I put my left foot in the stirrup, grabbed the horn, and swung my right leg up and over the saddle.
When Jasmine and I finished the last block of the city parade, I felt more confident to ride horses and probably other things in life now that I think about it. I could have walked away with grass-stained lavender pants, a sore back end, and tears rolling. I would have remembered that vs. riding my horse and showing him who's boss, as my dad would say. Jasmine and I even got a ribbon!
As I am writing this, it reminds me of coaching. As a coach, I help you saddle back up and ride the horse. It's not just saying, "Get on the horse!" It is breaking it down, providing curated information, helping you get unstuck from where you are and a non-judgement zone (think Planet Fitness). I don't tell you what to do but I do ask powerful questions which can provide empowerment and decrease the stress of life. I encourage you and hold you accountable. There is so much JOY in coaching.
I have just 9 more spots left for private coaching and would be happy to text or chat with you to see if coaching is a good fit.
I am also working on creating some courses.
I would love for you to be part of my email list so you can be the first to have access to them. I will also send an occasional encouraging email. If you could sign up for my emails, this is an easy link to do that: https://www.simplifyurday.com/signup You will receive a confirmation email. Please watch for that and confirm so you don't miss anything.
Have a great weekend!
