We wish to acknowledge Micheal Larrains passing. “The Flower Guy” of Cotati. We both worked over 40 years in Cotati as he did, and he was such a piece of what made Cotati a better place. He will be missed. Condolences to his loved ones.

Today we are closing in. Last large load in a truck. Working on fixing baseboard, final cleaning. Visiting with some customer/friends.

Day 23 of clean out. We think we have most of the heavy lifting done now. Had two of the remaining large cabinets picked this morning by a really nice guy who is opening a new business. We’re so glad those went together and can’t wait to see them in his new place. Took down our overbuilt loft, and that will become a new loft at home now. We are patching walls and cleaning floors now, but starting to look forward to watching Christmas movies and eating popcorn in our pajamas for a day or two. Thanks for coming along on this part of the journey with us. ❤️

This is another large piece that has been around. We got it from another bike shop 30 years ago. Nice shelves and 9 foot run of glass. Free to good home. This is heavy! Will need some strong arms to pick up. Need to be picked up this week end.

We have a couple of really nice pieces left that could work in other business, or if you have a barn. They are really solid and stained and finished nicely on the one big counter. Good drawers. This cabinet originally belonged to The Apple Crate. Amy fox??? Want this back for your barn?? Free to a good home. This piece is 7 feet long. Wine bar? Gift wrap or project center? Free to a good home. Needs to be picked up soon.

We marked the end of an era today as we bid farewell to the cash wrap and cabinets that have been instrumental in our business for 36 years. Each piece is steeped in memories. The cabinets were skillfully crafted by a close friend and fellow cycling aficionado who shared our passion for exploring the picturesque landscapes of Sonoma and Humboldt counties on both asphalt and dirt trails. And there’s more bike rack in the bus.

Now the work of organizing some memories. This was a great blast from the past. When we moved from our first location that was behind La Plaza Park. It was a bold move for us at the time in 1996. Little did we know we’d move two more times! Each location special to us in its own way, filled with the memories of the people and times. David Evans!
