A new week means new opportunities to learn, grow, and discover!

Sometimes the biggest accomplishments start with small steps—a page read, a tower built, a question asked, or a challenge tried. Encourage your child this week to be curious, brave, and willing to learn something new.

This week, many of us were reminded just how quickly life can change. After the storms that moved through on Thursday, we’ve seen neighbors helping neighbors, families cleaning up together, and our community coming together in powerful ways.

As you slow down today, take a moment to thank God for His protection, His provision, and the people He places in our lives to carry one another through difficult times.

Whether you’re still picking up branches, repairing damage, or simply catching your breath after a long week, remember that God’s presence is with you in both the storm and the cleanup that follows.

Today, encourage your children to look for ways they can serve others—a helping hand, a kind word, or a simple prayer can make a big difference.

Praying for everyone affected by the storm and thanking God for the strength and resilience of our community. ❤️

From roller coasters and vehicles to bridges and wild inventions, K’NEX encourages kids to think like engineers while having a blast creating. The interlocking rods and connectors allow children to build countless 3D models and explore real STEM concepts through hands-on play.

Due to the recent storms and damage throughout our town, Foundations Kids will be closed today.

We are incredibly thankful that our store was spared and is doing fine, but many areas of our community were not as fortunate and our town has taken a pretty significant hit.

Today, our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected as they begin the cleanup and recovery process. We are grateful for the first responders, utility crews, and neighbors helping one another during this time.

Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to serving you again soon.

A little heart-to-heart from us ❤️

When we opened Foundations Kids, we made a promise to ourselves and to our community: we would carefully curate products we believe in—high-quality toys, educational resources, products made in the USA whenever possible, and items from small businesses that share our values.

Recently, we found ourselves trying to keep up with the squishy craze.

And honestly? It just isn’t us.

While we know many kids enjoy them, we’ve been disappointed by the quality, materials, and craftsmanship of many of the imported squishy products currently flooding the market. The more we brought in, the more something just felt off.

It weighed on me because I realized we were carrying products that didn’t fully align with who we are or what Foundations Kids stands for.

So we’re making a change.

Moving forward, we will no longer be ordering imported squishy products.

We will continue to carry quality USA-made brands and products that meet the standards we’ve set for our store.

It took me a little while to recognize it, but I want Foundations Kids to be a place where I am proud of every single item on our shelves.
A place where quality matters more than trends.
A place where our purchases support makers, families, and businesses we believe in.

I got caught up trying to keep pace with a trend, and for that, I apologize.

Thank you for giving us the grace to learn, grow, and stay true to our mission.

We may not always get everything right, but we will always do our best to lead with integrity.

Thank you for supporting small business and for supporting our family as we continue building something we’re proud of.
